As a current MWWHA member, your costs to attend the conference will be:

  • WHA membership (pay at their website; see their website for variable rates) For more information, see their website, http://www.thewha.org.
  • WHA-MWWHA conference fee ($60 student; $75 professional) - this is a much reduced rate for MWWHA members, payable below. Early registration deadline is March 1, 2018.
  • That's it. No more fees beyond those listed above.

MWWHA also offers awards to students and teachers to present at the conference. The MWWHA will offer up to three competitive $300 Graduate Student Awards and up to three $300 K-12 Teacher Awards to K-12 to offset part of the conference costs. Graduate students interested in applying should include a letter with their conference proposal explaining how the conference helps them with their studies, teaching, and/or future career plans as well as how their paper fits with the conference theme and the mission of the MWWHA.

Our 2018 conference will be held jointly with the World History Association's (WHA's) conference in Milwaukee, WI, 21-23 June 2018.

Anyone who is a current MWWHA member as of December 31, 2017 will be able to attend the joint WHA-MWWHA conference at a reduced rate. Please, make sure you are a current MWWHA; you can renew here.

Conference Registration 2018

MWWHA will be collecting paper or panel proposals (and organizing accepted papers into panels) in accordance with the WHA's parameters. N.B., the deadline for the CFPs has been extended to December 20. Please, also include a CV with your proposal, which you can submit to "chair@mwwha.org."
